Finally reached the £50k Stocks & Shares ISA milestone today. It's been a long but very fun journey starting from £4k. But the next £50k shouldn't take nearly as long. The next £50k after that? even less.....and so on.

Eventually, i'll be seeing increments of £50k in a quarter. Then in a month.

For now, I am excited to hit this new milestone.

Slowly making our way to the pivotal £50k milestone for my Stocks & Shares ISA investment journey. It's taken a long time to get there but i'm now starting to see growth accelerate now that the account is getting larger.

It's fun to see the dividends growing bigger than the same comparable month from the previous year.

Is Now A Good Time to Start Investing in Stocks and Shares? I don't think there is a perfect time. The best time is now. Because:-

1) The longer you wait the less time you have to allow it to grow

2) If you're buying great businesses and you're getting it at a great price, then the timing is always good

3) until you start investing, you won't make any money and you are watching time slip away. and its the time that the key. the reason Warren Buffet is worth £150bn isn't because he's the worlds best stock picker. It's because he's had 60 years of compounded growth.

Been a super busy week so far. A week of continued progress however. The fund has grown to over £46k. I've just finished recording Episode 116 of the Podcast. I reached my lowest weight i've ever been and hit to -40lbs lost mark. That's 18kg which is madness when you think about it. Imagine just grabbing 18 bags of sugar and that's what you used to just carry around with you every day. Madness.

When I meet someone who says they're into self dev

When I meet someone who says they're into self development, I always enquire as to what specifically they're working on.

Self Development isn't just reading a book about sleeping better, or eating cleaner. It's not listening to a podcast either.

Self Development is doing the actual work.

For instance, for years I had found myself too senstive to criticism. I don't know why. But when confronted with someone who I felt was laying into me or attacking me, I would react like a boy. Not a man. I would reduce my time around that person, get butt hurt, and my inner voice would say "you don't need this drama in your life, walk away".

Eventually, I learned I had the wrong idea. Instead of reacting the way I did, I needed to step forward into it all. To be a better leader and a better man. To recognise that the criticism was often coming from a place of anxiety. Often unwarranted, misplaced anxiety, but anxiety nonetheless. They weren't attacking me, they were fearful. Worried. Anxious.

And what they needed was a leader. A man who could see past all that and step up into that space, provide reassurance and show that there was nothing to worry about. That's true leadership. To be self assured enough that you recognise it's not an attack on you. Instead, it's a metaphoric flare being fired into the sky that says, i've got anxiety around this and need your help.

It's not easy to change how you think in situations. It's always a work in progress. But that's true self development. Doing the actual work.

Whenever I see anyone trying to fix an aspect of themselves, so that they can show up as a better human being, I see someone who truly wants to add more value in the world. And I genuinely respect that. 👊🏻💪🏻👏🏻

I live alone. So when they come over for the weeke

I live alone. So when they come over for the weekend they naturally inject life into the place. We've done the hugs and the brief updates I get about school life.

The girls are now playing Roblox online with their mates. The eldest is watching guitar videos and the little one is watching Star Wars.

And I now have my feet up with a well deserved coffee after a busy week.

My Stocks & Shares ISA fell in organic value by -0

My Stocks & Shares ISA fell in organic value by -0.9% in November 2024. But rose in overall value to £44k due to my additional monthly deposits.

I've received £1280 in Dividends so far for 2024 which is progress following last years £933.

As it stands, we are well on course to make it to the million over the next 16 years although there's a good chance i'll get there much earlier.

The bread and butter report. Out every weekend, it breaks down which stocks I love and what prices we should be looking to buy them at. It saves investors time, and provides them with a level of analysis they often couldn't do themselves.

Deep Dive Reports
This is the 'WHY'. Its all well and good telling people what to buy. But if they buy it and it drops in price at any time, any investor who doesn't know the investment is going to panic. A deep dive report mitigates this by informing the investor precisely WHY this stock is so great. Financial analysis, management analysis, product/service analysis, essentially leaving the investor knowing everything they need to know about why this stock. Giving them the right reasons they need to back up their decision making.

In the podcast this week we discussed the reason why investors panic when prices go down, and more importantly, how to stop feeling that way.

It's all well and good saying "dont get stressed with your investing" but thats just words. It doesn't actually help.

Better to understand why you feel that way. And usually, the reason you panic is because you self doubt your decision when the price drops. As if the price dropping over the next week is your primary measure of your accuracy in stock selection.

But its not. Price is fickle. It rises and falls every day over the most stupid things. Its chaotic. Unpredictable. Its noise.

What took the stress out of investing for me was understanding the ebbs and flows of the market do not reflect the quality of my investment decisions. Knowing the investment well, should lead to you feeling 10x better about the long term expectations of that stock.

You bought at £20 and it was worth £24? Great deal! Its down to £16 today? Well, are they suddenly now a bad company? Has everything you thought about their future suddenly changed? Are results suddenly poor in the business? Because if it's still the same company doing grest things then £16 is just another opportunity.

The same type of opportunity you've seen when looking back over historical charts and thinking "damn, I wish I had bought back then" whilst pointing to a previous drop in price that stands out.

When prices fall, my inbox gets busy. Everyone wants to know "why".

Beats me. I don't know! I don't need to know either. What value does knowing 'why' provide anyway?

I encourage every investor to make a point of studying historical markets. Historical price moves. It's a sobering experience. Much like when Carl Sagan said Astronomy was a humbling experience because you suddenly realise man's true insignificance amongst the stars.

Prices rise and fall like the waves in an ocean. We are simply here for the ride. We're not trying to predict the next wave. We are just enjoying it. Knowing that over time, it will go up. Because we've picked good growing businesses to invest into.

Getting upset over prices falling over the last week was a complete waste of anyone's energy, because they're back up now. That emotional rollercoaster bores me. It's not healthy. It's not necessary to your success. And therefore, it's not for me.
